DayCare

TailWaggers Pet Chateau offers DayCare 7:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (closed 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. for lunch). DayCare includes "cookie" breaks and one free playground (weather permitting). We developed this program because we know that dogs are social animals and enjoy the companionship of other dogs. Left to their own resources, dogs form packs as a natural activity. With this in mind and through our observations over the past nineteen years, we felt that pets would enjoy the companionship of other pets. Your pet will not come into physical contact with other clients' pets while they are here for DayCare (IL State Law forbids co-mingling of pets while owners are not present.)

You can include a visit to our full-service grooming shop during your pet's DayCare day.

Pets must be physically healthy, and tested clear of internal parasites within the past 12 months (including Heartworm).
Pets must be up to date on all immunizations including Bordatella.
Owners must sign the regular boarding contract.

Playgrounds

This optional service provides your pet with additional exercise during his Boarding stay. Your pet will go out with one of our kennel assistants to one of our special large PLAYGROUND areas for 15 - 20 minutes of individual play and attention. You may bring in special toys for him to play with during his playground period. If you want the toy only to be available to your pet during PlayGrounds, please instruct us at check-in.

Playgrounds are great. Our Playground is 25 x 85 feet and features specially designed equipment.

Movie Time

Is your pet into watching TV? You may want to add some movie time for your pet during his visit to TAILWAGGERS. The first signup on any given day chooses the movie, selection list is available at the front desk and features many popular VHS and DVD movies.

Story Time

Does your friend take part in story time with your children? Does he enjoy quiet snuggle time in the evening? You can opt for your pet to have a story read to him, while staff snuggle with him. We find this reassures young dogs and is sometimes just the right amount of relaxation before bed time at the kennel.

Swim Time

In warm weather, we get out the wading pool and invite you to sign up your friend for a dip in the pool.
